Jessica Knox - Youth Representative

My name is Jessica Knox, and this year I am a senior at Belton-Honea Path High School. I am active in my school’s FFA and serve as my chapter’s Reporter. I am a member of the National Beta Club and National Honor Society, I have a love for art which takes up a lot of my free time, and I am also an avid sports fan. Shooting sports and paleontology are my two biggest loves though, and I want to have a life where I can enjoy both. I am hoping to shoot collegiately while pursuing a Geology degree.
Thanks to my dad, I grew up with guns. Before getting in to sporting clays, I was a part of the Belton Gun Club’s youth bb gun team. After I had received my distinguished expert in the sport, I decided to try shotgun, when the club started up a team. During my first few years of shooting, all my sporting clays practice had either been at competitions or at the club’s five stand because at the time my club did not have a clays course. I am very active in the various youth shooting organizations, and have been competing in the multiple areas of shooting for about five years now. I have been honored to have represented South Carolina at the 4-H National Championship, and I am fortunate to have been selected for this year’s SCYSF Ladies All-State Team. I have met some of my best friends through this sport, as well as my amazing coach and just some all-around great people, and I am looking forward to meeting many more as the SCSCA Youth Representative.
